ABOUT THE WRITER…
Throughout my life I’ve been on the lookout for creative outlets. Art was my first love and then I became enamored with storytelling. Whether I needed an excuse for why I was late or just wanted to make friends laugh; I’d have a story at the ready. Pretty early on I decided to commit my stories to paper and was forever hooked.
As I made my way through secondary school and university I would always be sure to include some sort of writing class to hone my skills. At this point I was still writing for my own enjoyment. When I learned of my impending employment hiccup I decided I should pursue a career doing what I love. I enrolled in a screenwriting course here in Minneapolis and got to work.
Over the course of the next couple of years my writing shifted from short stories to screenplays – both shorts and feature length. I also had the privilege to intern as a reader with a Screenwriting Workshop and local Production Company. I have also been employed as a reader, which provided many lessons that I have applied to my own writing.
It is from all this that my first feature length screenplay, RALLY POINT, came into being. I am using the momentum created by my win of The-
